Bookish Tendancies implements a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information.

Payments are processed through a secure payment portal. Any credit card details stored for payments are done so via the portal and no credit card information is stored by us.

Bookish Tendancies uses cookies in order to help provide a customized user experience.

Do we disclose any information to third parties?

Bookish Tendancies do not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease the addresses on our lists to anyone. In addition, we configure our email software to refuse to divulge the email addresses of our list subscribers to anyone but authorized Bookish Tendancies staff.  This may exclude trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

Returns and Refunds

Damages / Breakages

While unfortunate, product breakages and damages sometimes occur. In the event that your item/s arrive damaged, we are here to help.

  • If a product is damaged on delivery, you should refuse to take receipt of that product and notify us through our contact page.  We’ll arrange a replacement or a refund at the earliest convenience.

  • If you notice damage to a product after delivery, please notify us within 7 days of delivery receipt via pour contact page. We’ll work with you to return the item and arrange a replacement or refund at the earliest convenience.

  • Customer must notify us within 7 days of receipt of item to qualify for a refund or replacement.

Change of mind return

  • Get in touch with us via our contact page to see how we can best help.

  • Refunds are not available for change of mind returns. We may however, be able to assist with store credit in this event, dependant on the condition that your item is unused and returned in the same condition that you received it.

  • Customer must also notify us within 7 days of receipt of item to qualify

Shipping  cost of returns

We will cover the costs relating to damaged in transit / faulty products.

You are responsible for the shipping costs of any other returns.

We currently ship within New Zealand and Australia. Please lodge an enquiry via the contact us page on our website for other international destinations. These will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Shipping Costs:

Orders are typically processed within [3] business days of receiving your order, excluding weekends and holidays. Please note that up to 14 additional days will be added for customized or made-to-order products. Timeframes will be communicated during the ordering process.

Shipping Time:

Once your order has been processed and shipped, the estimated shipping time varies depending on the destination and shipping method selected during checkout. You will receive a tracking number to monitor the progress of your shipment.

Shipping Confirmation:

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking information once your order has been shipped. This email will also include instructions on how to track your package.

Delivery Address:

Please ensure that your shipping address is accurate and complete. Bookish Tendancies is not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect or incomplete addresses. If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Lost or Stolen Packages:

Bookish Tendancies is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they have been marked as “Delivered” by the shipping carrier. Please ensure that your delivery location is secure.

  • We endevour to provide each product within the best possible timeframe. Please be aware that there may be a gap between ordering your items and receiving them at times. This is due to the fact that each of our products is individually hand crafted as it is ordered, unless otherwise stated.
